Designated as Natural Heritage No. 224, Eoreumgol Valley is located at the foot of Cheonhwangsan Mountain, with warm air in the winter and water freezing in the summer.

This sanctified place, where Doctor Yu Eui-tae practiced life-saving medical arts, is also a perfect tourist destination surrounded by Pyochungsa Temple, Unmunsa Temple, and Gajisan Mountain called “the Alps of Yeongnam Region.” With warm marine climate and inland climate combining, itinerant high pressures form frequently in this area. During the season when apples grow, the daily climate difference becomes greater, making the apples significantly sweeter than others.

When the apple colors set in from September to October, the area sees little rain, which eliminates the sourness in the fruit. With the pride of producing the best apples in Korea, Miryang has been conducting research on Eoreumgol Apples for the past three decades to increase apple farming household income. The city has been promoting the fruit, in addition to engaging in activities to make it into an integral part of the city's tourism industry, including hosting Eoreumgol Apple Festival every year.

  • Location: Eoreumgol Valley parking lot
  • Festival Contents: Healing concert, Miryang intangible cultural performances, official events, opening ceremony performances Karaoke, Finding Good Apples, Eoreumgol Apple Concert, Food Marketplace, etc.
